Joe Biden Announces That “America Is Back” As He Rejects Trump’s Foreign Policy
AMERICA IS BACK – Projected President-elect Joe Biden announced that America is ready to lead the global stage again.
For four years, President Donald Trump has had a bit of a run-in with his foreign policy. During his term, Trump became famous for his “Make America Great Again” slogan and his “America First” policies.
However, with Joe Biden projected to take the reins, policies aimed at collaboration with U.S. allies would be prioritized. According to an article from Reuters, Biden introduced his first foreign policy and national security team.
Furthermore, the former Vice President hinted at steering the U.S. away from the unilateralist nationalism pushed by current U.S. President, Donald Trump. As per the article, Biden stated:
It’s a team that reflects the fact that America is back, ready to lead the world, not retreat from it, once again sit at the head of the table, ready to confront our adversaries and not reject our allies, ready to stand up for our values
Additionally, with Biden leading the United States, experts forecast his administration to take on a more multilateral and democratic approach to foreign policy.
On Tuesday, the White House gave the greenlight for Biden to begin receiving the President’s daily intelligence briefing. However, the President-elect said he did not receive one on Monday but expects it to come regularly.
