Vendor Caught Preparing Samalamig with Block of Ice from Sidewalk’s Floor

Recently, a concerned netizen named Sucayre Marco Francis shared video footage on Facebook, where a filthy activity of a vendor was caught on camera. The video clip may let you think twice if you would ever buy samalamig- a cheap thirst quencher sold on the street, again.
In the video, a woman could be seen preparing the flavored drink she’s going to sell on the sidewalk, unmindful of whether people could see what she is doing. At first glance, you probably would not see what is wrong with the video, until you watch closely and see a block of ice she’s chopping to bits is actually on the bare pavement.

After chopping the ice, she washes it off with the water in the pail and unsure if that water is also clean. She then put the ice on the container where the flavored drink stored.
The video went viral and been shared on different pages. After netizens have seen the footage they express disgust and slammed the vendor for doing filthy preparation with her product.
