However, netizens criticized the Kapuso network for allegedly prioritizing Tagalized movies rather than giving the news to the people. Here are some of the tweets from netizens criticizing the news and public affairs department of GMA.

On the morning of November 2, the Kapuso network released this statement. “GMA News continues to deliver to the public the latest updates on the devastation brought by Typhoon Rolly as well as the still approaching Typhoon Siony,” it said.

Included in the statement are the platforms where people can access the latest news on typhoon Rolly. The network said that there is a up-to-date newscast on GMA-7 and GMA News TV.

News can also be accessed from the morning show Unang Hirit and primetime newscast 24 Oras as well as on the late night newscast Saksi and the noontime newscast Balitanghali.

Then, there is a program titled Quick Response Team (QRT) for updates on the field. Aside from television, the media companty stressed that its radio programs can also provide news and information to the public.

“Meanwhile, keeping listeners abreast of the latest situations across the country is Super Radyo DZBB 594khz’s 24-hour coverage “Bantay Bagyo,” which is also available on TV via “Dobol B sa News TV” as well as on its social media accounts. News updates are also heard via Radio GMA stations nationwide,” the network said.

GMA also said that netizens can access news on its various social media platforms.
