Asia-Pacific Countries Starts To Lower Travel Ban

ASIA-PACIFIC TRAVEL BAN – Countries in Asia-Pacific starts to lower travel ban restrictions due to the pandemic in hopes of reviving their economy.

Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, several country’s have locked down their borders to prevent the spread of the disease. As a result, some countries have seen significant results in their fight to contain the coronavirus.

However, reviving the economy still posed certain issues when it comes to safety. Still, countries such as Singapore, Australia, and Japan have gradually eased international travel restrictions as COVID-19 cases begin to decline.

But, for those who want to travel, countries still impose strict guidelines which include an application for travel and COVID-19 swab tests before and after their flights. Likewise, Singapore had made similar agreements with the following countries:

  • China
  • South Korea
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • other opened unilaterally to general visitors from New Zealand
  • Brunei
  • Vietnam
  • most of Australia.

Meanwhile, residents of New Zealand may be able to travel to some parts of Australia starting Friday without the need for quarantine. These include areas such as New South Wales, Canberra, and the Northern Territory.

Likewise, Australia has also been in contact with Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, and other South Pacific nations regarding reopening travel as COVID-19 infections drop.
