Huge Cracks Appear In Mountain Village In Jagna Town, Bohol
JAGNA TOWN – Huge cracks appeared in a mountain barangat in the municipality of Jagna in Bohol Province amid rains since October 3.
The said cracks, as well as landslides can be seen in the mountain barangay of Cantuyoc in the said town in Bohol, according to a report from Inquirer.
Jagna disaster office administrative and training officer Adonis John Cagas said that the aforementioned cracks have a length of more than a hundred meters and are about seven centimeters deep.
Cagas said that the office urged residents who are near the danger zone to always stay vigilant.
“We advised the residents near the danger zone to be alert and vigilant at all times,”
The land cracks in the area were said to have first appeared in the month of September 2015. said Cagas, based on the report.
Aside from that, there are also landslides which occurred on Wednesday on October 8 in Purok 1, Sitio Taytay in the said mountain village.
The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee or BDRRMC are tasked to monitor the situation there.
