Beauty Gonzalez stressed that she is still a Kapamilya
Actress Beauty Gonzalez is set to do a new show on TV5 but despite that, she still said that she is “Kapamilya by spirit, by heart”.
Beauty’s career in show business was launched through the ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, she was offered to do teleseryes that opened opportunities for her on the big screen.
However, just like other Kapamilya stars, Beauty is also doing a new show on TV5 after the franchise of their home network was denied. Based on the article from PEP, she will be one of the lead stars of a drama series titled I Got You.
This is produced by Brightlight Production of former Negros Occidental congressman Albee Benitez who is one of the major blocktimers now of the Kapatid network. The said series will feature Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing.
Despite the network transfer, Beauty Gonzalez stressed that she is still a Kapamilya. “My heart will always belong to Kapamilya, everybody knows about that. Nothing will ever change, I’m always gonna be a Kapamilya by spirit, by heart,” she said.
She added that she asked permission from the management of ABS-CBN regarding her decision to accept this project. As a sign of respect and gratitude to the Kapamilya network’s help for her career, Beauty said that she had to consult first.
“I asked them nicely about it and they were open about it. ‘Sige, diyan ka muna habang nagre-ready pa kami,’” she shared. Beauty said that she is thankful that ABS-CBN allowed her to accept project from the Kapatid network.
For her, this decision also considered practicality. “Kailangan natin mag-work ngayon,” Beauty Gonzalez said.
