Woman Shops Using Stolen Credit Cards, Purchases Reach P71,000
STOLEN CREDIT CARDS – A woman allegedly shopped more than P71,000 worth of items using stolen credit cards.
According to a report from GMA News’ Balitambayan, the woman spent more than P71,000 using credit cards she stole from her owner inside an exclusive membership grocery at Congressional Avenue, Quezon City.
She stole five credit cards from the victim.
The theft occurred at about 3 PM. Based on the records, she successfully used one of them at 6 PM. She spent at about P25,000 using that card.
A few minutes later, the suspect purchased a microphone which is worth P14,200, as well as expensive clothes which is worth at about P8,865.
A CCTV footage shows that the thief kept on signing every time she made a purchase.
At 7:03 PM, she purchased dumbbell plates worth P6,000, as well as groceries worth P16,586. overall, she spent a total P71,796, based on the report.
This all occurred before the owner decided to block the stolen cards.
“Si misis, andaming proseso kaniyang pagdadaanan tapos marami ka pang isasagot bago ma-process. Ipa-process pa lang, hindi pa talaga maba-block,”
The victim also lost an expensive wallet and some government IDs. It would take at about 60 to 100 days before the bank decide to accept the victim’s story or force the latter to pay the thief’s purchases.
