Eugenio Gabby Lopez III Resigns As Chairman Emeritus and Director of ABS-CBN
JUST IN: EUGENIO GABBY LOPEZ III RESIGNS – Earlier, Gabby Lopez III published a statement regarding his resignation as Chairman Emeritus and Director of media giant, ABS-CBN.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, a press statement regarding the issue read:
“Mr. Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III, today, rendered his resignation for personal reasons as Chairman Emeritus and Director of ABS-CBN Corporation. Mr. Lopez also tendered his resignation as director of ABS-CBN Holdings Corporations, Sky Vision Corporation, Sky Cable Corporation, First Philippine Holdings Corporation, First Gen Corporation, and Rockwell Land Corporation effective immediately”.
As per the report, the Board of Directors of the ABS-CBN corporation fully accepted with regret Lopez’s resignation. Still, the Board emphasized that his dedication and leadership transformed ABS-CBN beyond television throughout his stint.
Moreover, they said that much like his father, Eugenio “Kapitan Geny” Lopez Jr, Gabby was a visionary and a leader driven by compassion and his love for the Philippines and its people.
