Award-winning actress Alessandra de Rossi said in her recent post that she is in a “state of calamity” and this received various reactions from netizens.
Alessandra or Alex is well-known for portraying her role in movies with her superb acting. Unlike of many artists in the Philippine entertainment industry, Alex is picky when it comes to the project that she chooses.
For her, it is always the artistry not the profit that she can get from a certain project. She even revealed in previous interviews that many of the indie films that she did were for free. That is how she values her craft over the earnings that she could get.
Amid the pandemic, the prominent actress also chose not to accept project because of her fear that she might get infected. In an interview, she revealed that it came to the point that she only had P18,000 in her bank account.
This revelation even became an issue when entertainment columnist Lolit Solis said that she can’t believe what Alessandra de Rossi said about her finances.
However, Alex explained and several netizens took her side as she pointed out that the word she used was “had”. The actress also received “ayuda” from her fans and people who support her. She would post the products being sent to her on her Instagram account.
Just recently, Alessandra de Rossi opened up once again about money matters on her Twitter account. She said, “7 mos of no income dahil ayaw ko lumabas till matapos to. Pero ang bills, di naman nababawasan. Uhm…. Kumu na ba? Lyka? Tell me! Tell me where it hurts!”
“State of calamity na! Tell me!” she added. The actress was asking her social media followers if what social media apps she will use in order to earn money. Several celebrities have been using these apps to connect to their fans and to create their contents that could be paid.
Some netizens commented that they would like Alex to use the Kumu while some said that she should do Lyka. On the other hand, there were those who said that Alex should do vlogging also because they will definitely support her.
Alessandra de Rossi also received encouraging words from her social media followers as some of them are also undergoing this kind of problem amid the pandemic.
