Bicol Sting Operations Leave One Dead, P1 Million Drugs Seized

BICOL STING OPERATIONS – Separate drug stings on Albay, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte resulted in the death of one suspect.

This was confirmed by Bicol police spokesperson Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib in a report from Inquirer, who said that an alleged high-value target (HVT) was slain while two more were arrested.

The fatality was identified as Juhaiber Ote, aged 31 and a native of Marawi City. Ote was residing in Barangay Oro Site in Legazpi City. The police reported that he resisted arrest during a drug operation at Doña Maria Subd., Barangay Tagas of Daraga in the province of Albay at about 7:10 PM.

Recovered from the police were a medium-sized sachet of suspected illegal drugs and a hand gun of unknown caliber.

Meanwhile, in Nabua, Camarines Sur, HVT suspect Mae Hazel Agapito, aged 37 and a resident of Barangay San Miguel in Iriga City was nabbed while he sold shabu in a drug operation in Barangay Sta. Elena Baras at 2:50 PM.

Retrieved from the suspect were 172 grams of drugs which is worth at around P1 million.

Based on the report, in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte, Leoncio Caparas Jr. aged 33 of Barangay Motherlode, was also arrested. He was caught in the possession of three sachets of druga at a buy-bust operation in Barangay Luklukan Sur, around 4:30 PM.
