This is what Geneva Cruz shared about being friends with an ex-partner
Singer-actress Geneva Cruz shared pieces of advice on how to be friends with an ex-partner.
It is a known fact that several showbiz couples eventually drifted apart and decided to end their relationship. Although there were controversial breakups and separations, there were also those ex-couples who maintained the friendship between them.
This situation is common to those who wanted to have a peaceful relationship with each other for the sake of their child or children. In line with this, Geneva appeared to have mastered the situation.
During a recent interview with The Philippine Star, the singer-actress said that children should be in the priority list of the ex-couple. “You just have to think about the children and not yourselves. Kung hindi kayo magkasundo, find something good about that person,” Geneva Cruz shared.
She also stressed the fact that the other person was your ex and there was a point in a relationship where you cherished something good in that person. The singer-actress said that one should “focus on the goodness and think about it.”
Geneva also said that ex-partners should not fight in front of their children because this could be a traumatic experience for them. “It’s never okay to fight in front of the kid. Magkakaroon sila ng trauma. And as a child, nangyari sa akin ‘yan before growing up,” the singer-actress shared.
She added that parents could shy away from methods that their own parents did in raising them which they did not like. However, the singer-actress said that those good ways can be adapted.
“It’s not about you, it’s about the kids,” she said. Geneva Cruz’s ex-partner is singer-songwriter Paco Arespacochaga and they had a son named Heaven.
