Tourist Van Driver Shot To Death In Carmen Town, Bohol
TOURIST VAN DRIVER – A tourist van driver was recently shot to death by an unidentified gunman, who was with four others along a national road in Carmen town.
The victim, identified as William Magallanes, aged 47, of Barangay Poblacion Norte, Carmen, sustained five gunshot wounds in the head and body, according to The Bohol Chronicles.
Staff Sgt. Lourd Steffen Dacullo of the Carmen Police Station reported that Magallanes died on the spot.
Dacullo also reported that the victim was driving his motorcycle and was heading home when he was gunned down in Barangay Canmano, Carmen..
The victim earlier passed by a store and spoke to one of the suspects before he was followed then shot.
The five suspects aboard three motorcycles waited for Magallanes at a store where they drank rum as captured on closed circuit television (CCTV) camera.
Authorities are still examining the footage while the store owner was unable to see the faces of the suspects who stayed at his store for not more than five minutes.
Dacullo deducing that the victim knew at least one the suspects based on his interaction with them before the incident.
Based on the report, probe is still ongoing were still ongoing to identify the motive and suspects behind the incident.
