This came from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager Jojo Garcia, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) appealed to the agency to lift the truck ban in order to allow the unhampered movement of essential goods, Garcia added.

The agency, however, reminded that trucks should remain in their designated lane.

“Hindi puwedeng kahit saan sila. Lalong gugulo ang daloy ng trapiko,”

Based on the report, Garcia added that there are other local government units that are implementing modified coding.

“Maiintindihan natin kasi ito ‘yung business districts like Makati, meron silang modified coding d’yan,”

Garcia also urged motorists to strictly follow traffic rules.
