QC Local Government Buys 2 Land to be Given to Informal Settlers in the City
Quezon City (QC) local government bought two lands to serve a relocation site for the informal settlers living within the city.
The Quezon City Mayor, Joy Belmonte has already signed two deeds of sale for the lots they bought from the two companies. The local government bought 7 lands in Area 3, Sitio Veterans in Barangay Bagong Silangan for P110 million.
According to the report of ABS-CBN, the lot has a total area of 36,651 square meters. At least 530 families from several homeowners’ associations will be listed as beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, two lots were sold in Barangay Payatas to the Quezon City government with a total area of 76,787 square meters. Under the agreement, Quezon City will pay only 65,025 square meters in the amount of P195 million.
And the good news is, the remaining 11,762 square meters will be donated by the company to the LGU. About 1,200 families from 8 homeowner’s association will benefit from this.
By the year 2021, the Quezon City is set to buy another lot of 100,619 square meters. In the said new lot, an estimated 1,270 families will benefit from it.
