Luis Manzano shared memories of his MYX VJ days
Actor-host Luis Manzano was teary-eyed when he recalled his stint as one of the pioneer video jockeys of MYX.
The said music channel also closed as its parent network ABS-CBN was forced to shut down due to the denial of its franchise application. Before becoming of the prominent game show and talent show hosts, Luis had his training in hosting through MYX.
Based on the article from Abante, Luis considered MYX as his training ground. He will always be grateful for the music channel because it has opened doors for him in hosting.
“Naiiyak ako. Sila ang una-unang nagtiwala sa akin as a speaker, as a VJ, as a host,” he shared during the recent episode of the online show We Rise Again.

Luis Manzano added that he learned a lot during their training as a video jockey. Because of that stint, he was given an opportunity to be part of the musical variety show ASAP.
“Iba ang training namin as MYC. This was the age na wala pang teleprompter. That’s why I really value the training na ibinigay sa amin ng MYX,” he added.
Based on the article, although MYX is no longer on-air but its can still be watched online in various social media platforms.
Meanwhile, Luis Manzano’s girlfriend Jessy Mendiola, who was also part of the Kapamilya network, now has her own fitness show on TV5 titled Fit For Life. However, it was said that elderly viewers complained that it was difficult for them to follow the intense exercises.
