Netflix is working on the Resident Evil live-action series
Streaming service Netflix confirmed that Resident Evil live-action series is in the works following the initial leak early part of 2020.
Originally as a game, this has captured the hearts of gaming enthusiasts from around the globe. Then, it has become a popular movie franchise that featured action-packed scenes that definitely gave thrills to many moviegoers.
Now, it is set the have its own live-action series and based on the synopsis, Resident Evil will focus on a new story but still elements from the Capcom franchise will be incorporated.
Sisters Jade and Billie Wesker, the daughters of antagonist Albert Wesker, will star in each timeline. They moved to the manufactured town called New Raccoon City where they forced to live their adolescence.

However, they will eventually feel that there is something off with the place and it seemed that their father is keeping a dark secret from them that could destroy the world.
The second timeline will feature how Jade is struggling in the New World with only fifteen million people living while the six billion are monsters who got infected by the T-virus. Jade struggles to survive as she is also dealing with her past life with her father and sister.
Based on the article from Hypebeast, Netflix already has the go signal. The Resident Evil live-action series is under Constantin Film that also did the movie franchise.
Writer Andrew Dabb shared this is his favorite game of all time. “I’m incredibly excited to tell a new chapter in this amazing story and bring the first ever Resident Evil series to Netflix members around the world. For every type of Resident Evil fan, including those joining us for the first time, the series will be complete with a lot of old friends, and some things (bloodthirsty, insane things) people have never seen before,” he added.
