Answer

The binomial name of Philippine Cockatoo is Cacatua haematuropygia.

Cacatua is a genus of the of the cockatoo family Cacatuidae. It is a New Latin term which is derived from the Dutch term kakatoe or the Malay term kakatoe.

The species name haematuropygia may have possibly been a combination of two terms: The Greek prefix hemato-, which is akin to the blood; and the Greek term uropygia, which is a plural form of uropygium, which refers to the hump at the rear extremity of a bird’s body, from which the tail feathers grow.
