Illegal Drugs Worth P80.860M In Kalinga Destroyed, Police Say
ILLEGAL DRUGS – Suspected drugs, which are worth at a total of P80.86 million was destroyed and burned in Tinglayan town in Kalinga province.
According to GMA News, information from chief of Cordillera police Brigadier General R’Win Pagkalinawan said that the destruction of nine plantations occurred from August 17 to 19 at Mt. Chumanchil in Tinglayan town.
The “cultivators” of the plantation are currently unidentified. The said plants were uprooted and burned, Pagkalinawan added, based on the report.

Meanwhile in Albay, two drug suspects in separate drug busts were arrested.

In Tabaco City, Albay, a man, 60 years of age of Barangay Bangkilingan was arrested after he was caught for selling illegal drugs to an undercover police officer in Barangay Matagbac. The suspect was a high value target (HVT) illegal drug pusher.
The arrest occurred at around 6:45 PM on August 16.
In the municipality of Sto. Domingo in the same province, a resident of Bagong San Roque, 22 years of age. The two suspects were placed under police custody and are facing charges for possession and trading of illegal drugs.
