IATF

This came from Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, according to a Twitter thread by DZMM Teleradyo.

Roque added that the IATF also stated in their recently-issued resolution to temporarily ban the importation of poultry products from Brazil.

He clarified that the Malacañang Palace. while feeling sorrowful of many Filipinos who lost their jobs, said that this is temporary due to the effects of COVID-19.

Regarding the purchase of COVID-19 vaccine, Roque said that they are set to buy 40 million doses but was unsure of how much to buy in Russia and other countries,

“Ang sabi po ng ating Pangulo, we are scheduled to buy 40 million [doses]. Hindi ko lang alam kung ilan yung bibilhin sa Russia at ibang panig ng mundo.”

The 40 million doses that the government will purchase will be given to the 20 million “poorest of the poor” Filipinos
