3 Seller Arrested, to Face Estafa for Selling Fake Luxury Bags

Three (3) sellers of expensive bags got arrested and were charged with estafa for selling fake luxury bag worth P30,000.

The three suspects were arrested in an entrapment operation in Fairview, Quezon City on Monday for allegedly selling fake luxury bags. The victim “Cecille” reported the suspects who allegedly sold fake bags on the Facebook Marketplace.

According to the victim, the seller said the bag he bought for P30,000 is “100 percent original”. However, based on the report of ABS-CBN News, Cecille noticed that the bag was fake because of its seams.

As a result, she immediately reported it to the police. The authorities immediately conducted an entrapment operation for the arrest of the suspects.

Those arrested are already detained at the Fairview Police Station. The suspects are set to be charged with estafa.

According to a suspect, the customer knew that the bag was fake because it came from Divisoria. However, the victim denied this because she was allegedly convinced that the bag was authentic.
