Here’s what Sharon Cuneta said about the death of Gabby Concepcion’s mother
Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared this touching post for the death of Lourdes Arellano, the mother of her former husband actor Gabby Concepcion.
On Monday, KC Concepcion, the daughter of Sharon and Gabby, shared a heartwarming message for her Mommyla. Apparently, KC is very close to her grandmother as the latter would always remind her of the importance of family.
Sharon, through her recent Instagram post, shared that she learned the sad news from her daughter. “Oh my gosh…I just got the sad news that KC’s Mommyla passed away this morning…My deepest condolences to the Arellanos and Concepcions…Rest in peace, dear Mommy Baby,” the Megastar wrote.

The singer-actress also expressed her gratitude to her former mother-in-law. “Thank you for being good to me while I was part of your family, and for loving KC with all your heart,” she said.

She also extended her condolences to the bereaved family. “May you be happy in God’s eternal embrace with Daddylo…Deepest Condolences to Kuya Dinky, Gabby, Juju, Mike, Rina and Ricky and Sandy…” Sharon Cuneta shared. Several social media followers of the Megastar also expressed sympathy to the grieving family.
Sharon and Gabby got married in 1984. They had KC a year after that and they separated in 1987. They had been one of the most admired love team partners in the Philippine entertainment industry. Their onscreen partnership became a real-life love story but unfortunately they drifted apart from each other.
Among their popular movies together are Una Kang Naging Akin, Tayong Dalawa, and Sa Hirap At Ginhawa.
