According to Subaldo, he and his crew were tasked to investigate an alleged report that a young lady was possessed. The crew came with a pastor to the area and saw the young lady being tied up and crying.

At first, Subaldo was skeptical because he generally doesn’t believe in superstition. However, he recalled that the young girl’s voice quickly changed, deepened, and started speaking a language that couldn’t be understood.

Suddenly, the girl got lose from her shackles and kicked through the bamboo walls and escaped. The residents of the area rushed to restrain the young lady and bring her back for to exorcism.

Once they had the lady, the pastor accompanying them told Mr. Subaldo to lead the prayer. But, Subaldo was hesitant and asked not to. However, the pastor was decisive with a sense of immediate urgency as he asked Subaldo to lead.

So, nervous and shaking, Subaldo closed his eyes and began to pray. Unfortunately, the words he ushered from his mouth would forever haunt him until this day.

He said: “Bless us our Lord and these thy gifts which we are about to receive…”. The reporter was confused because none of the people were following his prayer. Then, when he opened his eyes, everybody was watching.

Afterward, the Pastor told Subaldo that he would lead the prayer instead. Finally, after the exorcism, the young girl was brought to a church but Subaldo headed home.

However, The legitimacy of the story is still in question as netizens claim that this was just a funny story with no truth behind it. Still, the fact is that Negros historically had its run-ins with these sort of stories.
