According to GMA News’ Balitambayan, Mandaluyong Police chief Police Colonel Hector Grijaldo Jr. said that the unknown assailant was aboard a motorcycle as he killed PCSO Board Secretary Wesley Barayuga at a corner between Calbayog at Malinaw Streets.

“Kakatapos lang yata magtrabaho o galing sa opisina, on the way na siguro itong pauwi, eh, nagkaroon ng ano… sinundan siguro ng suspek natin,”

Initial probe show that the killer was beside the victim’s vehicle and shot the latter who was sitting on the passenger side.

“May isa pong kotse na medyo slow down po siya kasi intersection sa unahan tapos biglang tinabihan po ‘to ng suspek at tinira sa passenger side po,”

Based on the report, the victim’s driver also got shot and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

“Ito pong biktima natin nasa passenger side. May driver po siya. Ngayon na-evac na po natin, papuntang hospital. Hindi pa po natin [alam] kung ano ‘yung sitwasyon nung driver. Pero nung inalis po namin dito sa crime scene buhay pa naman po,”

Investigation is still ongoing regarding the incident.
