Here’s the tribute post of Pauleen Luna for ‘Eat Bulaga‘
Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines, is now celebrating its 41st anniversary and Pauleen Luna recalled her first day as a Dabarkad.
In 1979, the noontime variety show was born featuring the legendary trio, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Throughout the years, the show has become a stepping stone for many popular artists now. Some joined the pageants in the show such Little Miss Philippines, Mr. Pogi, That’s My Boy, Super Sireyna, and many more talent search segments.
The show has also featured many co-hosts throughout the years. One of the hosts who has been in the show for several years is Pauleen Luna, the wife of Bossing Vic Sotto.
In her recent Instagram post, a tribute to Eat Bulaga, Pauleen recalled her first day in the show. “I remember how nervous and excited I was as I entered the studio and saw very familiar faces,” she shared.
Pauleen also revealed that she was just 16 years old when she joined the Dabarkads and it was nerve-wracking for her because she will be “joining a group of very successful people.”
However, she said that she did not had a hard time as her co-hosts were very welcoming. She easily felt at home with them.
“Here we are 15 going 16 years after. Oh boy how Eat Bulaga changed my life! I’ve learned a lot by just being in the background, knowing and meeting people from different walks of life. I would say I grew up, found my real authentic self in the show,” Pauleen said.
She also expressed gratitude to the show for seeing the potential of many people and she is one of them. Above all, Pauleen Luna is thankful because she found the man of her life in the noontime show.
“I am only one of the millions that Eat Bulaga has helped. I may be in front of the camera but deep inside I am still that girl who will always be a fan of Eat Bulaga,” she added.
