Why Paolo Contis felt “panghihinayang” for ‘Through Night and Day’?
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis revealed that he felt “panghihinayang” for his movie Through Night and Day with Alessandra de Rossi.
The said movie was released in cinemas in 2018. However, it gained remarkable popularity when it was released on the streaming service Netflix.
Paolo and Alessandra, as well as the people behind the movie, received positive feedback from the viewers. Several people shared their experience online while watching the film.
Based on the article from GMA Entertainment, Paolo Contis admitted that he felt sorry for Through Night and Day. It is because only a few people have seen it when it was released two years ago.
“Oo, sobra. It’s not even the kita ng pelikula. Pareho kami ni ano (Alessandra), co-producers kami. It’s not even that. It’s that we know we made a good film. Nanghinayang ako kasi walang masyadong nakanood,” the actor shared.

He also said shared that after 3 days or 4 days of not having positive feedback from moviegoers, the movie was pulled out from cinemas.
“So minsan yung word of mouth papalakas palang wala na, Actually nagkaroon pa kami ng second wave e. If I’m not mistaken after a month lumabas kami ulit. Mas kumita pa yata ‘yun nung time na ‘yun if I’m not mistaken. Sayang. Sayang,” he said.
Behind that previous response that the movie got, Paolo Contis said that he is thankful for the warm response that the viewers gave them when it was shown on Netflix.
“For me this is a big opportunity to prove na next time gumawa si Paolo ng movie, nood tayo! or any Filipino film for that matter,” the actor said.
