More Than 3,000 Navotas Residents For 14-Day Lockdown Violation
NAVOTAS RESIDENTS NABBED – Around 3,000 residents of Navotas City were nabbed for violating the 14-day lockdown guidelines.
According to Inquirer, among the 3,222 residents arrested were 3, 056 adults and 166 minors.
The city government reminded residents to follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
City Mayor Toby Tiangco said in his Twitter account that the COVID-19 transmission is frequent among relatives and workmates.
This was after he cited the Department of Health statement that the transmission of the virus in the country is clustered.
Based on the report, the virus has infected at more than 1.2K residents in the city. Among the confirmed cases were 80 fatalities and 57 recoveries.
Navotas was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) since July 16. The quarantine is expected to end by July 29.
