Ku Hye-Sun Officially Divorced From Ahn Jae Hyun

KU HYE-SUN – Korean celebrity couple Ku Hye-Sun and Ahn Jae Hyu legally parted ways following a four-year marriage.

Korean actress, singer-songwriter, and director Ku Hye-Sun gained widespread recognition in her tv shows “Boys Over Flowers,” “Angel Eyes,” and “Pure in Heart.”

Aside from acting, she also directs movies. Her short film titled ‘Madonna’ was featured in several film events including the Pusan Asian Short Film Festival and Asiana International Short Film Festival.

In 2016, Ku Hye-Sun was confirmed to be dating her “Blood” co-star Ahn Jae-Hyun. They tied the knot at the Gangnam district office on May 21, 2016.

The celebrity couple announced that instead of holding a glamorous wedding party, they would donate the money to a hospital. They appeared “Newlywed Diary,” a reality show produced by Na Young-Seok. The program showcased their married life.

Last year, it was reported Ahn Jae-Hyun requested a divorce from Ku. On August 18, 2019, the actress posted a screenshot of text messages between her and her husband discussing divorce on her IG account.

Ahn served his wife with divorce papers on September 18, 2019. Based on a report from Soompi, Ku and Ahn are now legally divorced. The former couple did not attend the divorce mediation session at the Seoul Family Court on July 15, 2020.

According to the report, Ku and Ahn’s legal representatives attended the session. Read their official statement below:

“Ahn Jae Hyun and Ku Hye Sun came to an agreement to settle for divorce through mediation on July 15, 2020. The two will each walk on their own paths, and they will wish the best for each other’s futures. We express apologies for their private matters having caused trouble to the public until now.”
