KYOTO AQUARIUM PENGUIN CHART – Penguins are some of the most adorable creatures on Earth, but who knew their lives could be filled with so much drama?

Don’t let the cute exterior and the adorable waddles fool you because apparently, penguins have a side they don’t want the media to know. Luckily, two aquariums in Japan, the Kyoto and Sumida Aquarium made a visual guide of their lives showing all the drama.

According to an article from Spoon Tamago, Tera, the penguin in the middle, is the local heart-breaker in Kyoto Aquarium. To date, Tera has broken-up with six penguins!

But, do penguins really have complex relationships much like how humans can? Well, according to Kyoto-bases researcher Oliver Jia, they can!

Aside from this fact, Jia also explained that penguins are actually vicious animals who cheat on their partners, steal other’s children, and even more crimes.

But, how can you observe a penguin’s romantic behavior?

It’s fairly easy to spot, as per the article, wing-flapping is a sign of affection. Along with this, couples could also be seen grooming each other. Another trait that penguins have similar to humans are the effects of heartbreak. Penguins who have recently been on a break-up would often refuse to eat.
