Security Guard In Quezon City Nabbed For Taking Doctor Hostage
SECURITY GUARD IN QUEZON CITY – A security guard was recently arrested in Quezon City for taking a doctor hostage on early Wednesday morning.
According to ABS-CBN, the suspect, 51 years of age, was taken to the emergency room of East Avenue Medical Center. He was under treatment after receiving a wound from a motorcycle accident.
“Wala pa pong malinaw na dahilan. Hindi po natin makausap nang maayos ang pasyente. Perp mukha pong depressed siya eh, yan po ang tingin ng mga doktor na nakatingin sa kaniya. For what reason, di rin po namin alam,”
This was a statement from Dr. Willie Saludares, ER chief from the said hospital regarding the incident.
QC Police District Crime Investigation and Detection Unit chief Police Major Elmer Monsalve said that operatives from the QCPD-CIDU happened to be there during the inciident.
The suspect eventually surrendered after 5-10 minutes, while the doctor tried to calm him down, Monsalve said.
“Makikita mo yung biktima kung gaano siya, kung paano niya hinandle ‘yung sitwasyon. Naguusap sila raw na tutulungan din. Makikita mo kung gaano ka-concerned sila sa pasyente dyan sa ospital na yan. Napaka-kalmado po,”
Based on the report, no one was harmed during the incident. The suspect was turned over to the police after he was completely healed.
