Eight Fishermen Arrested For Dynamite Fishing At Manila Bay

DYNAMITE FISHING AT MANILA BAY – Eight fishermen were recently arrested by the Philippine Coast Guard for dynamite fishing at Manila Bay.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the PCG reported that they were having a seaborne patrol in Manila Bay when they spotted a motorboat where the fishermen was located.

They noticed that the fishermen used an illegal method of fishing which is said to be dynamite fishing.

Recovered from the suspects were two gallons of gasoline, two gallons of water, a 30-meter compressor hose, and one compressor engine with tank that is commonly used for dynamite fishing.

Based on the report, they were arrested and turned over to the Coast Guard substation for investigation.

They will be charged for violating the Fisheries Code of the Philippines.
