A FAIRY SONG

William Shakespeare is known as the known as the “Bard of Avon”, Shakespeare is England’s national poet. Some of his famous literary works are tragedies like “Romeo and Juliet”“Macbeth”“Hamlet”, etc. He is, by far, the most famous writer of all time.

Faat’s Journey said that the poem is about a fairy going around and spreading dew drops on the flowers. He also spread the dew drops from a cowslp for the fairy queen.

Here is the full text of the poem uplifted from Medium:

Over hill, over dale,

Thorough bush, thorough brier,

Over park, over pale,

Thorough flood, thorough fire!

I do wander everywhere,

Swifter than the moon’s sphere;

And I serve the Fairy Queen,

To dew her orbs upon the green;

The cowslips tall her pensioners be;

In their gold coats spots you see;

Those be rubies, fairy favours;

In those freckles live their savours;

I must go seek some dewdrops here,

And hang a pearl in every cowslip’s ear.
