Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola flaunted her abs in her recent Instagram post and shared her fitness secret.
Jessy is indeed one of the female celebrities in the Philippines with a figure that many women will envy. Aside from her looks, she is also known for having the figure fit to be flaunted with beach outfits.
However, before achieving her desired figure, it is known to many that the actress also received body shaming in the past. She has even received a tag “pata queen“.
There was a point in her career that she received a “fat memo” from her home network. That memo served as a warning to her that if she will not lose weight, she will not be given a project again.
Jessy admitted that the memo caused depression to her. “I got very depressed, parang dumating ako sa point na, ‘Ah, ‘eto na lang pala talaga ang halaga ko.’ Kung hindi ako sexy, wala akong projects at hindi nila ako makikita as who I am,” she shared in a previous interview.
With that, she strive hard in order to trim down the unnecessary weight in her body. In her recent Instagram post, she shared a photo as she flaunted her well-trimmed abs.
The Kapamilya actress also used this a teaser to her latest YouTube vlog. In her new video, she is sharing one of her fitness secrets – her diet. “Today sa aking newest vlog, ipapakita ko sainyo kung ano ang aking meals para maachieve ko ang ideal weight ko! (the struggle is real lol),” Jessy Mendiola said.

She added that this is her answer to all the fans who have been asking if what she is eating to maintain her figure.
“Hopefully makakuha kayo ng tips sa vlog ko about healthy food alternatives to help keep your body healthy & strong, especially during quarantine,” the actress said.
