To make it more simple, we could look at the riddle like this: “If in the END is D? What is in the BEGINNING?”. Here, we could see that the last letter of End is D. Therefore, we could conclude that the answer is “G“.
However, others could argue that the answer would be a “question mark” (?) because we’re basing the answers on the last character in the sentence.
But, if that was the basis of our answer, that would mean that it is wrong. If we look closely “END” also ends with a (?). So if that was the case, the first statement of the riddle would be wrong.
