Mayor Of Lumbaca Unayan, Lanao Del Sur Injured In Ambush
LUMBACA UNAYAN – The mayor of Lumbaca Unayan, Lanao Del Sur was recently injured after he was ambnushed in Cagayan De Oro City on June 3.
According to a report from GMA News, Mayor Somerado Guro was on his a Hilux pick-up truck with his wife and bodyguards.
They were traversing along Zone 2, Iponan in Cagayan De Oro City when armed assailants onboard a motorcycle fired at their vehicle.
They were eventually rushed to the Polymedic Hospital Plaza in Kauswagan town for medical treatment. As for the suspects, they were able to escape.
Recovered from the incident were nine empty shells of caliber .45. The police are currently probing the incident further, based on the report.
