Department of Labor Labor Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said that among the protocol to be observed in the workplace include frequent handwashing, staying at least one meter apart from co-workers, and solo lunch, according to ABS-CBN News.

Workers with a temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius will be barred from entering the workplace. They will also be required to rest for 5 minutes before checking their temperature once again. If their temperature is high no second check, the office must coordinate with health officers.

Furthermore, workers should fill out a checklist of their possible exposure to the virus and will be given face masks and disinfectant. Its cost, however, will not be deducted from their salary.

Based on the report, employers can also initiate disciplinary action against workers who will refuse to report for work even if they are provided with shuttle services and lodging near the office.

“Pamantayan pa rin po natin iyong health and safety ng ating mga manggagawa kaya kailangan pong mag-comply sila sa lahat ng workplace measure para ma-prevent po natin at ma-control iyong pagkalat ng COVID-19,”
