Kind Lawyer Offers Land, Cellphone to Old Man who Walks Cavite to Las Piñas
The viral poor old man who walked from Cavity to Las Piñas received various helps and a kind lawyer offers vacant land and cellphone.
The heartbreaking story of the 67-year-old Alberto Domingo became viral on social media. Domingo walked for 4 days from Rosario, Cavite to Las Piñas City, hoping to find a ride to his home in the province of Samar.
According to the post, he leaves his sister’s house in Rosario due to misunderstanding. Tatay Domingo was then kept by officials of barangay Daniel Fajardo in Las Piñas and let him stay at the barangay hall.
It is still uncertain when he will return to the province. However, after his story gone viral, lots of help was reached to him. His story was aired in TeleRadyo and TV Patrol.
After that, many individuals in the Philippines and abroad sent money, food, and clothing to Domingo. One of them was Rogelio “Waray” Evasco, president of Evasco, Abinales & Coles Law Office in Manila.
He offered P5,000 and bought a cellphone for the old man. Rogelio shared that he feels pity on Domingo, which his fellow lives in Samar where he came from. He also offers land in Catarman, Samar, owned by a client in the United States.
“Kawawa naman ang tao saka konting pera lang ‘yun,” Rogelio said.
“Tama ang kanyang desisyon na umuwi siya kasi walang mangyayari sa kanya rito,” he added.
Meanwhile, Barangay Daniel Fajardo staff member Archie Casimiro said the National Housing Authority also contacted them for Domingo to apply for the “Balik-Probinsya” program.
