Lovi Poe Shares ‘Malaya’ Team’s Experience Of Shooting in Italy
LOVI POE – GMA-7 actress and model Lovi Poe shared her experience shooting for her upcoming film ‘Malaya’ with Zanjoe Marudo.
There are many perks to being a celebrity. Actors and actresses have the opportunity to visit other countries and experience their unique culture.
There have been several Filipino films that were shot in other countries like “Barcelona: A Love Untold,” “A Moment In Time,” “Untrue,” and “Nuuk.” Some of these films were featured in prestigious film festivals.
Kapuso actress Lovi Poe has an upcoming movie titled “Malaya” with actor Zanjoe Marudo. During her online interview with Tim Yap, she shared that their film was shot in Italy.
The 31-year-old celebrity admitted that they had a hard time while shooting abroad. She shared that she experienced changing clothes in the streets.
“Ang hirap umikot sa mga paborito mong bansa na kailangan mo magtrabaho kasi you have to stay focused and everything. Shooting abroad is not a joke kasi wala ka sa comfort zone mo. Kumbaga kami, we were like walking around. Prang skeleton team talaga na bitbit ‘yung cameras, bitbit ko ‘yung mga damit ko. Nagbibihis ako sa kalsada,” Lovi said.
Nonetheless, Lovi Poe said it was fulfilling when they finally finish the shooting. “When you’re passionate about something, all these things, ‘yung hirap, hindi magma-matter ‘yun,” she said. Lovi and Zanjoe’s movie tells the story of a woman who migrated to Italy to live with her mom. The movie will premier this coming May 28 on iWant.
“She’s starting from scratch. She needs to learn how to speak Italian. She actually wants to do more than what her mom does for a living. She’s quite ambitious. And then she meets a Filipino guy who’s been living there since he was born,” Lovi said.
