DJ Squammy Reveals Why He Decided To Incorporate A Beat To Kim Chiu’s ‘Bawal Lumabas’ Statement
BAWAL LUMABAS – Music arranger DJ Squammy shared why he decided to incorporate a beat to Kim Chui’s ‘Bawal Lumabas’ statement.
Kapamilya actress and vlogger Kim Chiu is among the celebrities who reacted to the decision of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to stop the operation of ABS-CBN. Her emotions were too strong while defending the media network.
The 30-year-old celebrity attempted to use a metaphor but lots of people said it was incomprehensible. After the video went viral on social media, she took to her Twitter account and said “Hahaha nagising ako na trending na pala ako! Okay po. Hahah natawa nalang ako sa sinabi kong about classroom. Nadala lang ng emosyon. Sensya na.”
In a previous article, Kim Chiu admitted that the period where she was criticized due to her ‘classroom’ statement was among the lowest point of her life. After she was extremely bashed online, she stressed to herself to move on.
She even decided to record a song out of her viral classroom statement. The full track was released on her Youtube vlog on Monday, May 18.
Kim Chiu also featured DJ Squammy in her latest vlog. He was the one who incorporated a beat to Kim Chiu’s ‘Bawal Lumabas’ statement. He said he liked how the actress uttered her ‘classroom’ statement’ so he thought it would make a good song.
“Kasi nong narinig ko ‘yun, ako sa technical side ako eh, nag-a-arrange ako, nagpro-produce ako. Narinig ko ‘yung pagkakabigkas mo… Sabi ko perfect ‘to ha. ‘Pag ito nilatagan ko ng solid na beat kakabit ‘to tapos mas ma-emphasize pa natin ‘yung meaning sa bawat phrase non. Ako naiintindihan ko na nag-stutter ka lang sa words na kukunin kasi naging emotional ka don, naintindihan namin ‘yun,” he said.
After the “Bawal Lumabas” song became popular on all social media platforms, Star Music contacted DJ Squammy. He and Kim then collaborate for the full track.
