2 Barangay Captains Uses Dead People’s Name on the List for SAP Corruption
METRO MANILA – Two (2) barangay captains in Manila is under probe after found out they are using the name of dead people to claim SAP cash aid.
Two barangays in Metro Manila is included in the fifty barangay to be summoned with show cause order by the Manila government for alleged corruption in the cash aid from the Social Amelioration Program of the government.
The Barangay 62 Zone-6 and Barangay 71 Zone-6 in Tondo, Manila were the two barangays who allegedly using the name of deceased persons and include it to the official list of the SAP beneficiaries, according to the report of ABS-CBN News.
The MPD SMART have the death certificate of dead people who are included on the list of beneficiaries. They also use fake signatures and have twice as many names on the beneficiary list.
The two barangay captains will face charges for Anti-Graft and corruption and may be dismissed from their position. The two captains are haven’t reported in their office since the corruption activities found out.
Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte offers P30k reward cash to certain individuals who will report corrupt officials taking advantage of government aids as he express anger to the arrested barangay official in Bulacan.
