This Story Inspires Ben&Ben To Compose A Song
BEN&BEN – This heart touching story of best friends inspired Ben&Ben to write a new song about it.
Indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben consists of brothers Miguel and Paolo Guico, Jam Villanueva, Poch Barreto, Patricia Lasaten, Toni Muñoz Agnes Reoma, Keifer Cabugao, and Andrew de Pano. They are known for their popular hits such as “Ride Home,” “Pagtingin,” and “Kathang Isip.”
The Filipino band has created several chart-topping hits and sold-out shows. They are among the artists who are taking the Filipino folk to the next level.
Recently, Ben&Ben checked some of the comments on the music video of their song “Pagtingin” while in quarantine. A comment of Youtube user named Anne Jou caught the attention of the artists.
The netizen shared a story about her high school bestfriend. She disclosed that she fell in love with him. Before the guy got married, he confessed to her that he loved her first.
On Monday, May 11,Ben&Ben took a screenshot of the comment and posted it on their Twitter account. It came with a caption “damn.”
A day after, the band gave an update about the netizens’ story. They said the high school love story kept them awake and it inspired them to write a song about it.
“update: so.. this kept us up last night that we ended up writing a new song about it,” Ben&Ben wrote.
