Since the Philippine government implemented the enhanced community quarantine, social gatherings, outings and other events are cancelled to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

As a result, many summer vacations and plans have been cancelled this year but a family in Bataan has set up their own swimming pool to continue their children’s birthday celebration.

In a Facebook post, Rhobie Poco’s family in Mariveles, Bataan, made a way to celebrate his sister and nephew’s birthday by building a DIY swimming pool. In his Facebook post, you can see the daily progress of making a pool, spanning seven days.

“Gustong mag-swimming pero bawal lumabas? Say no more!” he said. “Dahil may ECQ po, ‘di kami puwedeng mag-outing this year kaya nagpagawa na lang ng maliit na pool para kahit papaano, makapag-swimming at mag-enjoy yung mga bata,” he added.
