Angry Barangay Chairman Scolded Constituents for Using Cash Aid in Illegal Drugs

TONDO, MANILA – An angry Barangay Chairman scolded and warned his constituents who allegedly use the cash aid received to buy illegal drugs.

Recently, residents in Barangay 12 received furious sermon from their chairman after discovered that some of his constituents had bought some drugs using cash assistance they provide.

In the Facebook Live video of Kosa Aumentado, Chief Randy Pancho, the barangay chairman, can be seen walking around and yelling while holding a megaphone to scold the stubborn residents. He scolded them for using the money inappropriately.

Aside from the reminder not to misuse the cash given by the government as assistance for residents affected by the public health crisis, he also warned illegal drug trafficker and drug pushers that they would be taken down if they still continue.

According to the report, the chairman’s frustration began when police witnessed a pot-session in his area. “Tapos kayo kapag kahirapan, isisisi ninyo sa gobyerno. Marami kayong hinahanap. Ngayon pagka-shabu, meron kayong pang-shabu. Magsumbong na kayo. Nakakapanginig kayo ng laman,” the official said.

The disciplinary action garnered almost 600,000 views immediately gone viral on social media. However, Pancho apologized to the national government for his behavior.
