San Del Monte Resident Given Eggs As Relief Goods, Turned To Chicks

EGGS AS RELIEF GOODS – A resident from San Jose Del Monte was given eggs as part of COVID-19 assistance, however, something happened.

Teacher Irene Villanueva-Baniqued, the recipient of the relief good said she stored the eggs in a food warmer. Furthermore, she planned to make balut out of the eggs because she thought they were duck eggs.

But, after about a week, she was surprised to hear something chirping inside the eggs. Finally, she saw the chicks hatching out from the eggs she had received.

When interviewed by DZMM teleradyo, teacher Irene said she prayed to the Lord to grant her a good attitude when facing the pandemic. She explained that if her attitude towards the pandemic was negative, it would be much heavier.

Moreover, during the entire interview, she was holding one of the hatched chicks in her hand. Now, she has extra companions amid the coronavirus quarantine.

Similarly, balut vendors have also faced this type of surprise. Due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine, hundreds of baluts are left to sit due to not having any customers.

As such, these duck eggs eventually hatched into duckling inside the crates they were placed as an egg. Read more about this in the link below!
