The distribution of food packs to residents in Macaguiling, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao is underpinned by the “honesty relief station” concept. Zulkifle Mohammad Pak’s family placed relief packs on the bench on the sidewalk in their barangay.

No one was watching and person who distribute, but a message was posted saying that every single family could get a pack. The person behind it, Zulkifle, said that he just wanted to practice honesty as he helps less fortunate people.

“Kagustuhan lang na tumulong for less fortunate as Islam taught us and gusto ko lang i-practice ang honesty kaya naisip ko yun,” said Zulkifle.

According to the report of ABS-CBN News, the family has been distributing relief packs for more than a week for residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine in their area.

In every two days, almost five sacks of rice they have to re-pack. Each sack of rice is equivalent to 25 relief packs with ‘daing’ and ‘mongo. Zulkifle hopes this to help his desperate countrymen in needs with just his simple way of giving.

“Kung hindi pa pagod pagkagaling ng trabaho, nagre-repack kami. Yung dried fish sinadya ko pa kunin sa Pagadian kahit sobrang higpit ng mga checkpoints going there. ‘Yung budget naman is from my personal income pero I encouraged my siblings na rin para magpadala ng bigas,” Zulkifle said.
