Seven Inmates Of Cebu Provincial Police Office Escaped Using “Spoon”

CEBU – Seven inmates from the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) escaped from their cell at around 11 PM Tuesday using a spoon and a metal pipe.

An article from SunStar states that there were 13 people imprisoned inside the cell, said CPPO director Police Colonel Roderick Mariano.

Among them were seven escapees and three that were captured immediately.They were primarily arrested for illegal drug-related violations.

Police reports states that they wrecked a part of a cell, which was located on the CPPO ground floor, with the use of a spoon and metal pipe.

At that time, the officers on duty did not notice their activities, which led seven to escape the cell at ease.

As per the report, among therm were one of the five men from Dumanjug town, while the rest are from Talisay City.

The provincial police, with the aid of the local City police force, have initiated a manhunt operation following this incident.

The three police officers, who were on duty during the incident will be probed.
