5G Apple iPhones Delayed, Possible Launch In December Due To Coronavirus

5G APPLE iPHONES DELAYED – Under normal circumstances, Apple should release their latest models around September.

However, major assembly lines in China were left shuttering due to the coronavirus pandemic. As such, the production of 2020 iPhones may not start until July.

Moreover, Apple has to ensure that its supply chains have sufficient parts to cover the usual number of devices being manufactured. Meanwhile, according to an article from Phone Asia, Apple is expected to have a 10-15% chance of launching 2020 5G phones by October.

But, Apple insiders have stated that production lines and supply chains are still on the path of normalization. This meant that the supply chain hasn’t returned to normal yet.

Additionally, the entire world is facing against the coronavirus pandemic, causing lockdowns on major cities. In lieu of this, Apple’s stock price had dropped significantly. With this, investors are looking at a December release of the 2020 iPhones.

As per the article, the company is expected to announce plans for the new models on April 30th. This is when CEO Tim Cook would host a conference call following the release of Apple’s fiscal second-quarter report.

Meanwhile, Apple is expected to announce 4 phones this 2020: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Plus, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All phones would sport a 120Hz refresh rate with AMOLED displays.

Furthermore, the phones would have sub-6Ghz and mmWave 5G signals. Several additions including a more precise depth measurement and enhanced AR capabilities are integrated. Also, all phones would have Wide and Ultra-wide cameras while the Pro units would include Ultra-wide Telephoto cameras.
