It is a tale about a little girl named Rica who has issues growing up with her dad since her mom works as an OFW domestic helper.
After her mom left for Paris, she sent Rica different gifts to prove her love and presence.
Her father, on the other hand, told her a story about a woman who eats away sadness. The father said that the lady grow too fast and burst after eating away their mess, so she has to be a good girl and save the lady by staying happy.
Rica would often listen to the sound to see if the woman shows up. One night, Rica heard noises again and because of the story that her father made about the lady who eats sadness. She was afraid that the lady might come and burst. Fortunately, it was only her drunk dad.
Rica told her father about her doubts and noises she heard and even argued with him. Her father felt guilty about making a story about the woman and told Rica that he will not let her her away from him since he loved her.
Rica, however, still waits for the lady to appear.
