Kind Stranger Pays for Nurse’s Purchase in the Grocery Store
A kind stranger earned praise from the online community after he pays for the nurse’s purchase at the grocery store even though he doesn’t know her.
Amid pandemic crisis the country facing these days due to rampant coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Health workers, among the frontliners during the coronavirus outbreak in the Philippines, are risking their lives in order to fulfill their duties.
However, Health workers and frontliners are facing discrimination because of their job. There are people who are disrespecting them while others discriminate them, worst is some are hurting them.
Meanwhile, amid discrimination there are still kind strangers who are willing to help them. In a Facebook post of nurse named Erv Lyn, she shares the good deed of a man she doesn’t know.
Erv Lyn took social media to express gratitude to the kind stranger she met who gave her help. According to her viral post, she first went to Robinson’s Fuente before going to work to buy something to eat.
When he was in the queue for the frontliners, the stranger at the front of the queue suddenly asked her if she was a frontliner that she answered immediately. Afterwards, the man offered to pay for what she had bought. Despite her refusal, the man insisted on paying the purchase himself.
Erv Lyn asked his name but refused to identify and said: “No name just ma’am.” Lyn forced the man to take a selfie to thanked him. The Facebook post of Lyn has gone viral on social media as many netizens express gratitude to the act of kindness of the man.
