The said employee is currently staying at home since March 20 and did not enter the office since then. The employee underwent a PCR test, which confirmed the infection.
The Kojima-owned studio added that they coordinated with public health officials, which told them that the rest of the employees are not counted as close contacts since the COVID-19-positive employee did not come to the office. This would mean that it is not required to close the office.
Nevertheless, Kojima added that they decided to implement safeguard precautions to ensure the health and safety of all the employees.
This includes a temporary closure of the office floor, sanitation of all office facilities, work from home, and supervision and support of all staff’s health condition.
