A netizen calls PNP’s attention due to this
A netizen calls the attention of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after she experienced this at a checkpoint near their home.
Amid the enhanced community quarantine, checkpoints are being implemented at almost all exit and entrances of cities. With this, several members of the PNP were deployed in various locations in Metro Manila and the whole Luzon.
Law enforcers are supposed to make civilians feel safe and secured somehow, however, a netizen revealed on her Twitter post that she had a scary experience with one of the policemen guarding at the checkpoint.
Based on the post of Twitter user @_erlamaee, she passed the checkpoint to buy medicine for her mother and so she presented her driver’s license and her quarantine pass. “Pagkabalik sa akin nung sundalo, may pasalubong daw na laman,” the netizen added.
Then, she showed a photo of her license and quarantine pass with a piece of paper where a mobile phone number was written. The following tweet of the netizen implied how scared she was when she went out again.
“Lumabas ulit ako. Pinapatanggal naman ngayon yung helmet saka facemask ko. Umayaw ako kasi tumatagal, ang init ng araw. Sinabihan ako “O bakit? Pulis ako!” Pwede ba sila ipalipat ng pwesto? Wag sa tapat ng gate ng subdivision namin? Nakakabastos sobra. Di ko kaya,” she shared.
Because of this, the netizen calls the attention of PNP and several netizens helped her. Fortunately, this tweet thread of @_erlamaee caught the attention of Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla.
“Hello @PNPhotline let’s help this woman feel safe please. This is not right,” the actress said. This received a reply from the PNP asking further details so that they can help the netizen.
